The New Oris AQUIS

The New Oris AQUIS

Meet the Aquis Date 43.50 mm, a luxury everyday toolwatch designed to go with you everywhere you go. We’ve refined every detail to make this the most versatile watch we’ve ever made. Its features include 30 bar (300 metres) of water resistance.

This begins with the case and the new Aquis Date’s visual profile and silhouette. The sculpted lugs and crown protection have been reworked, and the three-link metal bracelet has been skillfully redeveloped so that the central link is broader and the overall form more tapered. As a result, the new Aquis Date delivers exquisitely and reassuringly balanced aesthetics and ergonomics.

AQUIS 36.5MM

The  updated case on the Oris Aquis 36.5mm showcases a light champagne mother of pearl dial and complemented with refined ceramic rotatable bezel. You’ll also notice the matching date wheel that coordinates with the mother of pearl giving it beautiful refinement.

The watch’s uni-directional rotating bezel and hard-wearing ceramic bezel insert have also been subtly re-proportioned, while the dial is decorated with new polished shield-shaped applied hour markers and bespoke, Alpha-style hands, as well as new proprietary typography that will only ever feature on Aquis models.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

The refinement process continues under the dial: all new-generation Aquis watches will have a date wheel with a background color to match the dial color and high-contrast text, creating a seamless, pleasing relationship between the two while also protecting legibility.

CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

In keeping with Oris’ Change For The Better sustainability program, they will be releasing a new Oris Sustainable Watch Box. It’s made entirely from cardboard and paper, more than half of which is recycled, with the remainder coming from FSC-certified sources. It reduces our consumption of plastic-related materials by more than 1.5 tonnes annually compared to our previous packaging, more details are available in the press release.
