The NOMOS Icon in 31 Colors – Watches & Wonder 2024

The NOMOS Icon in 31 Colors – Watches & Wonder 2024

The world of fine mechanical watches is still predominantly black and white. Yet color creates diversity. Color expresses individuality. Color fills every room with life. This special edition of the slightly larger Tangente with a date function presents 31 colorful watches—for every day of the month and every personality. Each watch bears its own special name and tells its own story.

NOMOS has been know for its color expertise and for their first showing in Geneva for Watches and Wonders 2024 trade show, they release 31 new models in their best selling model: the Tangente.

More than a dozen dial elements have been coordinated in complex colorways. Each one expressing a unique colorful story.  The Tangente 38 175 Years features a stainless steel case, sapphire crystal and exhibition back and on a textile strap. Housed inside is the in-house, hand-wound DUW4101 caliber with a date function. The DUW4101 is equipped with the NOMOS swing system and regulated according to Chronometer specifications.

Nomos celebrates the tradition of 175 years of watchmaking in Glashutte – all in color. Each 31 dial combinations will be limited to 175 pieces.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

The refinement process continues under the dial: all new-generation Aquis watches will have a date wheel with a background color to match the dial color and high-contrast text, creating a seamless, pleasing relationship between the two while also protecting legibility.

CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

In keeping with Oris’ Change For The Better sustainability program, they will be releasing a new Oris Sustainable Watch Box. It’s made entirely from cardboard and paper, more than half of which is recycled, with the remainder coming from FSC-certified sources. It reduces our consumption of plastic-related materials by more than 1.5 tonnes annually compared to our previous packaging, more details are available in the press release.
